This is a translation. If it differs from the French version, the French version prevails.

Geody is a geography game published by Keru Studio, based in France. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. There is no account: we don’t ask for your name or email, we don’t show ads, we don’t track you across other apps, and we never sell data.

Who is responsible

Keru Studio, France, is the data controller. Contact: contact@geody.app.

What stays on your device

Your scores, streaks, daily results, today’s drawing, language and settings are stored on your device only. They are not sent to us. When you share a result, the image or text goes through your phone’s share sheet to the app you choose; we don’t receive it.

What we collect

  • Anonymous usage analytics. App opens, the screens you visit and game events such as “game started” or “daily challenge completed”, with your score. They come with your device type, OS version, app version, language and a random identifier created by the app, which is not linked to you. Like any internet request, they reach our analytics provider with your IP address, which is used to estimate an approximate location (country or city). Processed by PostHog.
  • Crash reports. Technical details about an error or a crash (stack trace, device model, OS and app version) so we can fix bugs. Processed by PostHog.
  • Purchases. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card details. RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt and an anonymous identifier so the app knows whether you’ve unlocked unlimited play, and can restore it on a new device.

Why, and on what legal basis

Analytics and crash reports help us understand how the game is played and keep it stable (our legitimate interest, GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). Purchase data is needed to provide what you paid for (performance of a contract, art. 6(1)(b)).

Service providers and transfers

PostHog and RevenueCat process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. Analytics and crash reports are stored by PostHog in the European Union. RevenueCat is based in the United States; transfers there are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Analytics and crash data are kept for up to 12 months. Purchase records are kept as long as needed to provide your unlock and to meet legal accounting obligations.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing, or restrict it. Emailcontact@geody.app. Because we don’t know who you are, we may ask for a few details to find your data. You can also file a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or your local data protection authority.

Children

Geody is intended for players aged 13 and over. We don’t knowingly collect data from younger children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date above.
